Appointments Committee Approves Key Posts in MoEF&CC

New Delhi, January 6, 2025:
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved key appointments in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The approved appointments are as follows:

1. Shri Satya Prakash Negi, Indian Forest Service (JHK:1998), has been appointed as the Deputy Director General of Forests (DDGF) at the Regional Office in Chandigarh. The appointment is on deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme for five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

2. Shri S. Senthil Kumar, Indian Forest Service (AGMUT:1997), has been appointed as the Deputy Director General of Forests (DDGF) at the Regional Office in Bengaluru. This posting is also on deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme for five years or until further orders.

3. Shri Sanjayan Kumar, Indian Forest Service (KL:2002), has been appointed as the Inspector General of Forests (IGF) in New Delhi. This appointment is under the same deputation scheme for a period of five years or until attaining the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.

The orders have been issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

These appointments are expected to strengthen the leadership at critical positions in the MoEF&CC and enhance its ability to manage and conserve the country’s forest and wildlife resources effectively.
